While the goal was to have more freedom over our content while doing some charity in the process, we believed Patreon was the best way to go. But extra costs, taxations, low engagement due to lesser time to produce content for The Josh Show Channel and its Patrons, engagement that went down to 0 Patrons in the last 4 months as we've been unable to produce new content whatsoever, convinced us to simply shut our Patreon account off and wait for a better time.
With Patreon, we'll also shut down the Discord Server attached to it too by the end of the month.
We might come back on Patreon when we'll have more time to produce content for TJS, but we still have mixed feelings about it. We like the idea to make No-Profit Merch just for pure fun, but a Patreon would turn our YouTube viewers into little Piggy Banks (which is the sad reality), while pushing us to produce content even when we don't feel like it, have no time etc... which is something we're not willing to do. So for now, we'll just shut it down and see what happens.
